Punjab congress general secretary S. Sukhpal Singh khaira has launched an online petition on his website www.sukhpalkhaira.org urging the shri Akal takht jathedar to stop lavish extravagant 'big-fat' Punjabi weddings. He requested honorable sikh jathedaars to take a step and formulate a simple marriage code of conduct favouring ideal anand karj. He said such big fatty marriages are threat to our health as well as tearing down our economy with non-sense expenditures.
