Punjab health department has started a campaign under the scheme, "Healthy Punjab" to catch fake milk and milk product suppliers. Punjab police has secretly checked one small factory in Patiala city that produces tons of fake milk and milk products such as curd, cheese, fats etc. Police officials said that they got the news regarding Singla milk chilling center in Devigarh town of Patiala that it produces fake milk and fats.
Fake products such as Dhanvi marked desi ghee, milk tanks, paneer, dry milk powder packets etc. were recovered from the factory. Investigating officers claimed that these products were being produced since 2014.
