After the report submitted by Justice Ranjit Singh on the matter of desecration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Punjab, people have started protesting against Badals as their name is mentioned in the report for they are responsible for the desecration and killing of people in sit-down strike at Kotkapura and Behbal Kalan. People at Taran-taran burned the pictures and effigies of Badals and Bikeam Majithia. They also raised slogans against them and burned their effigies in the same way Ravan is burned.
