Today morning crime branch of Amritsar wing had put a rain at Shehzada village to arrest a man but due to his unavailability, police caught the woman of the house and forced her to sit on the roof of the car and then they took a round of the village.
The victim, Jaswinder Kaur W/O Gurwinder Singh said that on September 22, 2018 police enforced to enter their house to arrest her husband without any reason specified and when they started defending themselves, police started beating them. She further added that after her complaint, crime branch officials today again went to their house and caught her forcefully while there was no female police official with them.
She said that police official had beaten her and was forcefully made to sit on the top of jeep and started roaming in the village. When village people started gathering, Police increased the speed of the jeep due to which Jaswinder Kaur fell down from the jeep and she is now admitted in the hospital due to severe injuries. Whole incident was caught in the CCTV.
DSP Majitha, Nirlep Singh and SHO, Harpreet Singh investigated the case and said that case will be registered after the medical report. Village people had gathered in the support of Jaswinder Kaur and demanding justice for her.
