National hockey player Rajwinder kaur committed suicide due to financial crisis meanwhile Govt. spending crores on kabaddi league

A letter shown to the press by the sister of national hockey player Rajwinder kaur, who committed suicide few days ago, has started a new debate. Handwritten by Rajwinder, the letter reveals the reasons for her suicide and questions government's approach towards talented  poor players. The reason she stated for suicide is her inability to pay her college fees. She was a student of B.A second year in a college in Bathinda. Due to poor background, her parents cannot afford her college fees , neither she got any help from Punjab govt. despite being an outstanding national hockey player. She did not want to add up to the adversities of her family. She ended her life by jumping in front of a train.

This misfortunate incident has started a debate in sports clubs and social groups. The Punjab government funded multi crore international kabaddi league is going to be started from today in London, and on another hand, the talented players of our national game are committing suicides due to lack of funds. Nothing can be worst than this.
