The Badal government again seems to be failed on providing proper services to farmers for selling their harvests in grain markets. Earlier, the government agencies delayed the procurement process due to festive holidays. But still, even after 5 working days, agencies have not started the procurement process. Due to careless attitude of govt. agencies, farmers are forced to sell their paddy far below MSP. The MSP(Minimum selling price ) for paddy is Rs. 1400 whereas farmers are reluctantly selling it for RS. 1250-1325. This sheer exploitation of farmers by private companies is due to mismanagement and poor administration of badal government. Some farmers are sitting in grain markets from more than a week in the hope of better prices, amidst the risk of rain. In some markets of doaba region where government agencies have started procurement, there are no proper uplifting facilities. The woes of farmers doesn't seems to come to an end meanwhile all machinery of Badal government is busy in election campaigning in Haryana.
